How long has this new alternative forum been up and running. Just stumbled upon it. Looks good! What happened to the Mackie forum?!?!?!?!?!? Thanks-Ron

Like so many other thnigs over there...it wasn't broken and it didn't need fixing.

But they did anyway...

The reason they did what they did was to avoid all the porn, and viagra posts that they were having to delete daily (and from what I was told it was literally in the 100's of posts.

When I started this forum I had a lot of Viagra posts too. The solution I found was the textual verification system. It's something that gets rid of the porn posts and takes 10 minutes to implement. A small price to pay to avoid the spam posts.

You really don't need to re build the whole thing to avoid spam. Just saying.

I was just trying to navigate the other forum and it is so screwed, it's impossible to articulate what is wrong without writing a post akin to the length of War And Peace. You gotta worry about Mackie when it comes to this. Hit a link set up prior to the change and it just goes back to the front page which is about the last thing I wanna see. I hope all the personnel find their way over here. Why can't amateurs leave well enough alone?
