Hi Joe;
I do not know of any reset button on either the d8b console or the cpu other than removing the battery for 24 hours from the CPU. This should reset the BIOS to factory stadards, which have to be changed to make d8b be a console.
If you can, take your d8b, a monitor, mouse and keyboard with you and, while you are with Eric, see if things are working after you connect your console to his CPU. I hope he will help out in this way. If you are not trading your CPU in, hang onto it for parts.
