Small black 5 pin motherboard connector, left or right?

Postby Electric Peak » Thu Jan 05, 2017 4:07 am

So that I could replace some swollen caps and I removed my motherboard. I marked everything except a small 5 pin connector near the rear of the CPU right next to the keyboard socket (the one that looks like a MIDI port). The connector is black, 5/8" x 1/8". Does it go on the left or right of the keyboard socket (the one that looks like a MIDI port)? Looking with the HD close to me and the back of the unit away from me. Thanks, Fred

Have a look in the link below and see if the connector is there!

Thanks Bruce,I have seen this pic. The connector that I'm stumped on is under the bundle of ribbon cables on the left. In this pic the connection I need to see is hidden. Dang! Thanks, Fred
