I’M STILL ALIVE (surprise!)

Hey everyone — yep, it’s me. I know it’s been a while.

This forum isn’t usually the place for personal stories, but I figured you all deserved to know why I suddenly disappeared like a magician with no encore.

So, flashback to November 2023: I started having chest pains (fun, right?), and by a stroke of ridiculous luck, I was already at the hospital when I had an aortic dissection. Basically, my aorta tried to rage-quit my body. It was terrifying, traumatic, and frankly, not the kind of plot twist I’d recommend to anyone. But hey — spoiler alert — I survived.

Since then, it’s been a long road. I lost my job, had to find new housing (because why have one life crisis when you can have three?), and I’m currently surviving on “el paro,” Spain’s version of a government-sponsored hug. Money’s tight, but I’m alive, healing, and powered by the love of my awesome daughter and family.

Just to be clear: I’m not asking for money, sympathy, or volunteers to adopt the forum. I just wanted you to know where I’ve been and why things have been a little... chaotic around here.

But enough of the melodrama.

Let’s talk spam bots — because apparently, the internet’s idea of helping me during recovery was flooding the forum with nonsense. Classic. I’m going to start dedicating some afternoons to sweeping the place clean. Please report any spammy topics you see — it helps me know what to zap and what to spare.

Thanks for sticking around, for keeping the forum alive, and for giving me something to come back to. It means more than you probably realize.

Well Peter, I'm sure we're all in agreement here with that you're "still alive" Seems you've had a really rough time, but we're glad you are still kicking and back on the forum
