Keyboard - boot problem

Hi

I'm wondering if there is a solution to the following questions:

1. My keyboard is broken and it's a bit hard to find that old pin on keyboards anymore. Is there are chance to put in a USB card in the computer? Or does anyone know where I can find a transformer from either smaller connector or USB?
2. Is there anyway I can build the Mackie computer myself as I don't know if mine is broken (since I can't go into setup without the keyboard)?

Sure. I bet I also can find those keyboards as well, but it would have been smooth to have little more updated keyboard thatn the ugly beige ones:-) Has anyone written a USB driver for this computer?

With legacy emulation in BIOS you might get away. But don't expect too much, I'd give it a 99% chance that won't work.

Does that mean that everyone here uses the old keyboard with their d8b?

I use an USB keyboarbd with my d8b.
Hooked up with an USB to ps2 adapter and an adapter-cable with e female ps2 and a "old 9-pin" plug i made by myself.
Works excellent and i did nt need to change any bios settings.

As I said, if you can find a USB to 5 pin adapter you don't need an old keyboard.
