FT/- RME HDSP 9652

Postby MOSHWITZ » Mon Aug 13, 2012 10:07 pm

Sup? :)

I have a spare RME HDSP 9652 that I was gonna keep hanging on to in case the one in my D8B/ DAW setup ever went bonkers, but it has been rock solid for like 5'ish years (probably die now I'm putting this up  ) so I though I'd see if anyone might be interested in it. What I would like to have for another setup is something along the lines of a Focusrite Saffire pro 40, or an Octopre II. I'd consider a pro 26 I/O also if it is still solid and not showing any problems of the dead units that pop up.

I would really like a pro 40, but feel free to hit me up with others as well.
thanks,
MOSHON

Dave,
I sent you a response to your PM about this card awhile ago...maybe you never got it?!

Anyway, I'm interested, but I don't have any of those you mentioned...I just have cash...? What would you be looking for ??? Please let me know...thanks!

Dave, my PM's aren't working right now, I can't send...don't know if I can receive...so please respond in this post.

I was wondering how you are getting sound to your monitors via the 9652 card when you are using the D8Bridge? This is my only concern with this card, since it doesn't have any analog out's to send to the monitors directly...

Sup? :)

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away for a couple of days.

I'm in it for a little more but I would do 365 shipped PP'd Con US.

They were averaging 375-450 last month when I was looking and decided to let this one go to build up the mobile rig, and is on par for what I have in it and am asking. I have noticed though, that a couple that have gone real cheap on the bay in the last 2 weeks. I guess its one of those up and down things I suppose, as they are 700 new, but it takes someong with the right gear to run them so,,ehhhh :ugeek:

As far as how I get my audio to the Monitors,, My JBL 4328p's have a digital in so I use it from the S/pdif of the RME. I just read in the other thread that you are using Mackie HR824's and they don't have the digital I/O, so I guess you couldn't use the S/pdif. I've heard conflicting Yes and no about using being able to use the Analog boards from RME that work with the 9632's so I E-mailed RME support and asked them directly as I am kinda curious about this myself. So when they get back to me I'll post it up here.

on a lighter note of compromise,,you could always trade me your Axe-II and your HR824's for my Axe Ultra, JBL4328p's and my spare RME 96/52, then we'd both be kickin..........just sayin

BTW,, I just seen your PM from the 14th, so it did go through.

Lol...I bet you'd love this AXE-II, it really is amazing! Although, the Ultra is no slouch...!

I'll consider your offer on the 9652...it looks complete and cared for. I'm in the middle of something on one elsewhere right now, but if that falls through I might be in touch. I wish these Mackie's had digital inputs... :(

Mosh,

Kinda tempted just for spares, but I've got the same problem. My RME HDSP 9652 hasn't even flinched in its years of service. The I/O board is now on its second DAW...
Win7 Pro x64 SP1 / SONAR 2016 Platinum x64 Newburyport / 2x Mackie d8b 5.1 + (D8Bridge v1.1 x32 or ProBox) / 3.20 GHz Intel i7 950, 24 GB DDR3 RAM, 2TB SATA3 SSD / RME HDSP9652 PCI (ASIO) / RME ADI-8 QS / New Belgium 1554

I hear ya, these things are rock solid and practically bullet proof.....BUT,,, down time is a bitch

I ended up scoring a Digi002 mixer for next to nothing for my other rig,,,so I'd be pretty open to other trade items on this as well now ,,worst I can say is, not interested. someone throw something at me,,don't even have to be music gear
