Hello, folks. It's been a long time since I've been on the boards. I hope everyone is doing well and mixing great music with their d8bs.

I need help with my memory. There was a repair shop (I think in Southern California) that worked on d8bs. Does anyone remember the name of that place? I'm wondering if they're still around. If not, do any of you know of a place in the USA that would do a good job? A friend of mine wants to get his d8b refurbished.

I don't know if this business still exists, but when I bought my two d8b's used (both from the same guy), they had business cards with the following info attached to the outside, and even to the insides of them, with "last serviced" dates indicated on them:

I did all my repairs etc. myself... so, if he's still in business, I don't know anything about the quality or pricing, etc.

It's various things, I suppose. I don't really know other than there are a few stuck faders. I'm hoping he can just send in the fader boards instead of shipping the entire console. I found the place so that's cool.

Hey, Joe. Good to see your happy self still posting on the boards. My setup is very simple. I mix in the box with DP. My d8b is still here but in storage. Why is it in storage? It stopped passing audio whenever it felt like it. I spent a bunch of $$$ trying to get it fixed way back when but no one could figure it out so I stopped throwing money at it.

Hey Dan,
Did you get your board fixed and if so what did it entail? Did have to send the whole thing up to Washington and was it a financial nightmare? I’m now getting the system 43 error and can’t figure it out so am thinking of abandoning the board and moving on unless I can get it fixed reasonably. I’m also in LA.
