Hmm.... regarding your cf card solution - do you happen to have a second cf card lying around?
If you do, you could try to use the image I made of a fresh installation (OS and plugins unlocked).
If you want to try it out, there's a walkthrough here:

Well I have a little good news and bad news. The last d8b I just got I went through the hole thing in resetting every ribbon cable I could find and see. just as I did this morning and as of now I can get sound from all mic channels maybe a cable got loose in shipping. Now the bad news I am almost scared to change the cpu that has the CF card and v5:1 in it. But I got to see if it works. I sure hope it works. Thanks for al the help. Joe.

Ok with everyone’s help we got one of my d8b going with the hack and all plugins, and so fare everything is working good got my fingers crossed. I would like to get my older d8b going. I do know that’s it’s not in the cpu if it was my other board should not be working. Could something in the brain board cause the channels to fill hard to move and nothing is working by hand or by mouse I would like to try and get that board fixed to then I would have two working d8bs and one for parts I have three. Thanks again for everyone’s help. Joe Allen.
