I replaced hdd last week and now I'm using Mackie D8B DELUXE CF hard drive kit no changes after it same even software was installed new

I'm working on a project to find out some problems with the d8b's. I'm one of those who don't always believe.
I want to find out myself, and I am a technician.
I've fixed all my consoles five at this's time and never reseating any thing.
Now in my latest problem all went black and all people said reseating things and..... no.
I replaced the motherboard with a completely different 30$ and it was booting up as usual.
Now to your problem I think it's the same as mine, but you'll have to wait until I've got the new 5v 30A psu.
I think that's the biggest problem here. The consoles are old and almost all things need the 5v from this psu 30$.
That's why they need to be at least 22Amp.
I think the regulators and capacities in this psu starts to fail, that's why we all get different symptoms.

I'm waiting for my new switching psu at 5v 30A to replace my old with. My repair project console lives it's own life, the faders on the GUI jumps and the console is flashing, but when I replace the PSU/ CPU all goes to normal.
You see what I mean.... there is only one thing to replace in the box and it's the 5v m...f.
When I have done it and the console works again I'll let you know and send you a link to the right psu to replace yours with....30$

Mmmm....! Strange how my d8b had problems occurring every few days and by reseating and sticking down the power connectors everything works perfectly....without a new power supply

I have nothing to say about that.... Just try to help!
Let's hope you don't have to re connect it again.
I still believe that most of the times when you get strange things happen it's because the 5v power.
I will only try this to help. When you disconnect and re connect you will discharge the capacitors and it will work for some time. Temperatures will make the psu raise and fall too I think.
It's worth a try....

Yes... after over 10 years you have to give electrically equipment a service. This includes to clean connectors and so on....

Whatever it takes to get it going but I amongst others here have been working these desks, nearly every day for around eighteen years and these precedures/fixes are for us, common practice

Re connected my old 5v psu and it's going up and down from 0-3V. The console is acting strange, but I'll think I've found the problem.
Still waiting for my new 5v switched psu.
I will post here when it's up and running.

I'll recommend you disconnect the 5v psu and check it.
Boot up and check it.... do not test on the wrong side!
Please tell me what it shows
