Continue!

This forum has been good to me.
met quite a few really nice people.
the database is the best help for d8bs HDRs MDRs on the planet at the mo.
collectively the people on here are the best group anywhere helping pushing the boundaries of the d8b and HDR MDR.
i dont think the face book page is anywhere near it in terms of help, in term of jump to help pages and instant info.
i like the way members are on board with new ideas to help push things fwd.
at the mo we are just talking about us, but in the future you may sell your d8b and all this help is ready for new users.

I still dont think ANYONE has got out the d8b the potential of what it can offer, and this forum is the one and only place at the mo where we can explore this, the facebook forum is mainly people jumping of for help, this site is beyond that, discussions about pushing the d8b, and having the guys able to implement them ideas is a massive help to us all and for me im very greatfull, thanks guys.

worth saving for loads of other reasons im sure.

Hi All,
I just had trouble loading the D8B forum page, I ended up having to search for the database and link in from there. If the site does go down, my email address is trsmike@protonmail.com

Have a blessed day,
Mike

good shout mike
can we start collecting email addresses ?
maybe 1 member can collect them then email everyone the list then we can collectively keep intouch just incase ?

Also i had a quick go of backing up the site on "way back machine"
https://archive.org/
so i downloaded each page via your browsers "save page as" it saves as a html then tried to down load that file to way back machine but think i need something else.
but noticed that if you do the search in way back machine that the main forum page
"https://www.d8bforum.com/phpBB3/index.php"
has already been saved 83 times /
maybe by peter ?

also that the database url is.... https://www.sonido-7.com/d8b/index.html
which has been saved 97 times.

I suspect what funk meant was that we send our email addresses to one person as private messages.
Then that person could send the collective list out to us, so we avoid writing our emails directly in the forum?

Yup... a very unwise move, it's an extremely high security risk. I personally won't be posting my personal email addy in any post on this site or any other one on the internet. I'll be more than happy to pm anyone (within reason) that needs or would like an open communication or dialog... what's taking place here "checks the right boxes". I'm retired now, so I have some bandwidth moving forward to pitch in on the tech end... but that's putting the cart before the ox, I'm digressing again...

At any rate, as far as putting any email address on a web forum, I'll leave that up to y'all... the individual. As I said, I personally wouldn't do it under any circumstances - I don't need the potential headaches... :geek:

And of course, you knew this was coming and it certainly applies in this instance... so here it is:

if any of the longtime members who know him in any way wants to contact him through facebook, if you pm me i will pass on his face book page so you can contact him, i have sent him a message but im not really on fb so dont know what im doing and did it through a friend, i hope this is ok to do ?

Hi All,
No no, I did not intend for anyone to post their email address or create any kind of list. I just thought that there should be one person at least whom everyone can contact in case something happens. Don't post your emails.

Have a blessed day,
Mike
