I've seen those as well. What they're actually selling is an ESN with which they also provide the authorisation codes.

Ok, so the ESN isn't on the brain board it's software based?

So then it would be as "easy" as burning a copy of the ROM and supplying the auth code. That's what I thought, I'm kinda brain dead atm. Too much real work and not enough d8b time lately. So then it's a question of what chip it is and can some be acquired as well as someone get a burner to do the copying that already has 5.1?

Yeah, that sounds "easy". haha!

Well, I'm stumped mate. The number of characters in the transaction code are the correct number but the V and the P are confusing since they're not HEX. I get the following when I try to enter your numbers so I guess my cookies or whatever prohibit me from seeing the result:

"Sorry, your ESN is not recognized with this license. Please make sure your ESN and License number are correct."

Ok, I just entered all "my" codes and it gave me a totally different authorisation code than the one I originally was given. Something's amiss. I think you're gonna have to make a call and ask for Beno. Maybe do it on Skype to save money. You can buy pretty reasonable blocks of time. Better than the Telco ripping you off. :)

Just in case they've gone all generic, try: 33D3-54B3-5F86

Hey y'all... I've been working indirectly w/ Eric Russ & Mackie on this issue; they're definitely in the Looper and doing what they can on their end. The FX Code(s) generation is Spot-On, I was able to get every one of them successfully authorized, but the D8B OS5.1 license key is the problem ([D'uh). I'm continually required to enter the D8B 5.1 Authorization Code on each reboot.. so, meanwhile, back at the Ranch...

Their generator tool is wonky, and apparently the owner of that source code is the problem (to my understanding of issues). I personally talked to two individuals (Paul & Rebecca) and Eric has Mackies 'ear' directly, as they're asking him for feedback regarding this registration process. In the event anyone reading this isn't aware of, Eric is the vendor that markets the Brain Cards on eBay with the 5.1 & FX Plug-In codes - so this is all on the up-n-up. I've lurked and followed a lot of the stuff on this forum and other sites, and Mackie has taken a beating (and rightly so in many cases), but I'm here to say the ARE on it, as to my exposure. I'll post more as soon as I have something relevant - Eric is out of town on another business venture ATM...

Stay tuned, Boyz n Girlz... 8-)

That's promising. I shoved in all my request codes and they worked perfectly regarding authorisation codes with the exception of 5.1 which was decidedly, out the window.
