d8b protools and mmc hui question

Postby remohead » Mon Mar 03, 2014 1:01 pm

Hi guys,

I recently picked up a d8b running 5.1

My studio setup is as follows: mac pro running pro tools 9 native & logic 9 interfaced via a focusrite liquid channel.

I would love to get the d8b set up with some degree of control over protools, either using MMC or HUI, could anyone tell me the best way to achieve this please, I’m more bothered about the transport and jog wheel than the faders themselves and what is actually achievable using both methods.

Thanks very much,

Remo

Hi Remo. Welcome!

The 5.1 software includes a native HUI layer in the console. There's a d8b 5.1 manual in the database link above that describes how to setup and operate the HUI layer. Best of luck.
