Bought a D8B today, willing to sell some cards

Postby Vantage » Wed Dec 16, 2015 8:40 pm

Hello everyone,

Today I bought a D8B and it contains some cards, they haven't been tested but i'm assuming they work since the console is near mint. (bought it without PSU/CPU) the cards are:

-2 mackie fx cards
-1 digital I/O 1 AES/EBU card
-1 Apogee word clock card
-1 PDI 8 card
-2 Apogee digital I/O cards
and one OPT-8 card.

I don't know how the pricing goes for those kind of cards, so if you guys could enlighten me it would be much appreciated !

thank you for reading me :D

PS: if i posted in the wrong section i'm sorry, feel free to move the topic elsewhere

The money card typically is the Apogee word clock card, as they don't come up for sale too often. They used to sell in the $300-$350ish range. No idea on the MFX card, people typically want the UFX, which is a different beast for running third party plugins. The rest I figure would probably go for around $100-$150 a card or so. I would see what things have sold for on Ebay recently and get a vibe of pricing.

Oh, i see.

Thank you for replying :) I don't actually know if the fx cards are UFX or MFX, since the only clue i have on differentiating them is the little mackie logo. Anyways, thank you for advising me on the pricing :)

In the opposite diagnol corner of the running man logo, it should be printed UFX or MFX. Typically, though there maybe exceptions, the UFX cards are blue in color while the MFX is green. The MFX will have IVL written on it on one of the edges.

i wouldnt assume with the MFX card, best check it, they do fail, i have 2 usless ones.
the plug in may load and when you send sig to them the input bar meters show sig in,
but no output bars
just make sure your getting the sig coming back through the fx faderbank3

The MFX still need authorising even though they're free. I don't recall the codes but I'm sure they're in the database or on Mackie's website. Two MFX cards are required for IVL to work in other than demo mode. Interesting plug-in, that one. I've had fun with it on occasion.
