Use the database for answers. There are over 15 years of explanations regarding d8b idiosyncracies articulated in there. Its purpose was just for that.

If everyone just went to the database then we wouldn't have such wonderful conversations...:)

I was looking for a full rebuild on the faders.. I have to pull one from the board and do a over haul on it.

That's in the database as well but you need to be gentle.

I pulled the board and cleaned what I could. But some isopropyl alcohol got spilled in one. It wiped out all lube. I need to do something.

Lube from where ? You could try sewing machine oil.

Hey Phantom,
Never used it, but came across these products when searching for fader-lube. http://store.caig.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1750 ... tegory=293

Have a blessed day in Christ,

Peter that's just it. Maybe they put a tiny bit of lube on the bar inside the fader? Motor? Not sure. But omce that alcohol hit it. It now feels like sand paper and is stiff. I pull the board, cleaned it with air, and let it dry out. Checked the belt. Plastic parts, etc all look fine. So someplace has to have been lubed by the manufacturer to make them at one time smooth.
