DIO-8 BNC question

Hello everyone! I'm new here and need a little guidence. Can anyone please tell me if the BNC for the DIO-8 cards are bi-directional? I have 4 in my desk and want to use an external clock (os is 5.1). My rig consits of the D8B, dual HD24s, Presonus Firestudio lightpipe a PC and a Syncgen. I'm debating getting a Apogee clock card but if I don't need it I won't.
If I have to get the Apogee clock card will the D8B operating system recognize the card vice the 4th DIO-8 card?

Thanx,

Dave

No. Clock out only. If you are using HD24s, you will need EPROM Vsn. 2. With the desk off, pull each card and check its version. For a fuller explanation, read this

You need one if you want to clock the d8b from an external clock, The Apogee clock is also considerably superior to the stock clock.

The Apogee clock replaces the stock clock in the sync slot.

Thanx. I'll do that.
