If you couldn't fix your D8B or find another.........?

If you couldn't fix your D8B or find another.........?

Postby Steam Radio » Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:20 pm

I've just been exploring the unfortunate events that befall owners of the D8B when your desk fails for whatever reason and the amazing lengths that the members here go to in trying to help fellow owners to get back up and running, my question is: If you as a long term or new owner of the Mackie D8B on this forum failed to fix or find another to replace your existing desk very quickly what is there on the market either new or second hand no matter how vintage or new would you consider as a replacement withing your exsisting set up that you've looked at as an alternative and why?
To be clear I am absolutely not even considering replacing mine anytime in the foreseeable future but am very curious as to what your personal choices would be.

Off the top of my head I think mine would be the Behringer X32: 32 channel desk

dXb. FYI, there is a guy in the UK that just offered a dxb for sale on the FB group page, new power supply, just serviced and all that jazz, if you are feeling saucy.

Yes I noticed the owner David had replied to a post that asked where he lived in the uk. I've messaged him by pm to see if he will let me know his asking price.

I have had weird issues with PM on FB unless you are FB friends. Maybe that's the issue? I see your post on there. I say give him a day or 2, I think it took him a while when I asked him if the console was in the UK.

If you are looking for D8B parts, I have 2 for sale with lots of cards to go with them. I was never successful in getting the 2 of them to work together and by the end even getting 1 to work. I am sure some of the D8B masters here could get them working, I just don't have that kind of time. Send me an email if you are interested- martens@maqs.net I have a lot of used mackie gear.
