The Trading-thread

Hi everybody!

Well, I am sure a lot of you guys (and girls) have spare parts, or even a whole unit for spares by your side in case something will break or stop working in your primary set-up. The problem is that it's always the same parts that tends to stop working.

Watching e-bay for parts these days is just plain stupid. You would probably save money on buying a whole unit compared to a clock-card and a cable. The prices are just so 'out there' that its no fun at all.

This thread is for those who would like to help out a fellow d8b-junkie, and maybe even get some of those beautiful parts back as a trade.

I have a more or less complete unit for spares, and would be able to send (as parts) on short notice. Just ask me if there's anything you need. In return I'm looking for faderboards. The 8-fader version...

Hello again!

Well, I just wanted to inform you all that the first trade has been done, and with great bravour! We are both happy, and have upgraded our set-ups without spending too much money on it.

The idea behind this thread was to get a place where it would be ok to ask for replacement parts, and to offer some parts back. If we all go to ebay and buy our spares every time we have a problem, we just put coal to the fire, and eventually every d8b in existance will be out there in parts because the income is that good. I believe this is the place for the most interested d8b-idiots, and here we can help eachother out.

This thread is NOT meant for those that have to make money out of everything they do. It might be hard to compare prices on these parts, but what matters is how much it is worth to you.

What I have for trade:

About 24 loose faders (all working - not faderboards).
1 x faderboard with 9 faders (master)
2 x stock clock card
All cables
All midi-, keyboard/mouse-, screen-cards to the cpu.
Meter
etc...

Just ask if you're after anything! I'm looking for ufx and opt8...

Perhaps one of these days I'll have some parts to trade, but as of now I'm in need of a motherboard just to get back up and running. (See thread "New member, would like input.. should I keep the D8B?"), I have the CB50-BX REV A board by the way. Since I'm not in the position to barter (and am trying to keep the cost way down), thought I'd ask if anyone had one and how much you'd want for it? Many thanks, this forum has been a real find...

There are 6 Amptron 9800 MB's available from somebody named elpmex on Ebay. I am shocked that he is asking $350.00. I never thought they would go for that kind of money this late in the game. It looks like he actually sold one at that price so far....

I thought so too but I have no idea how available these old MB's are. Glad to hear you got a better quote elsewhere.
