NO AUDIO SIGNAL, SERVICE MANUAL

Postby Primerpiso » Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:47 pm

Hello Folks:
I`ve bought a D8B a few months ago in the United States on Ebay, now I took it to my country and when I`m trying to set my gear I found that no audio signal is going in or out, faders work well, computer too, the thing is none of the meters work, no signal gets in and no signal gets out, does anybody have the service manual to sell?, In Argentina (where I live) the d8b didn´t came, just a few imported by the owners and anybody has the SERVICE manual.

I´ve been told that there´s a little ribbon cable that manages audio signal but I´d like to have the manual to measure voltages and see if I´m losing power there or not since I need to go to USA in order to get a replacement.

Thanks a lot.

Sergio Nicola.

The schematics are available here.

Most importantly, do you have a clock card in the d8b? It's found in the Sync slot at the back of the console. If no clock card, then no sound except for the 2 track ins.

What do you mean? Is the clock card in the sync slot and what kind is it, ie., does it have BNC connectors on it or is it just a plain card?
