Zambesi, Burns 64

Hi guys,

Just for a change, here's something a bit different.

I bought a Burns Marvin 1964 on ebay a few weeks ago, it was borrowed and played by Hank Marvin for a radio program in the early 80's.

I've recorded a copy of a Shadows instrumental which featured a Burns. It was recorded to sound like the original so panning etc will sound a bit differet than modern stuff. I used a Martin acoustic for rhythm, Fender Jazz bass, doctored to sound like it has tape wound strings, that sort of stuff.

The Burns went through a TVS3 echo unit which simulates the old Meazzi unit and I used my Vox AC30 H2> U87> Focusright ISA 430.

Just for fun...hope you like!

Phil

Sounds very good Phil. And you definitely captured the dead flat wound bass sound. I remember back when I actually prefered that sound. Anyway, good job! Also, I love the tone of the lead guitar.
