Rebooting of it's own accord

Hi,
I recently bought a d8b on ebay. When I booted it up for the first time, it worked perfectly as it should for about ten minutes, but then the desk restarted itself. The monitor didn't change, it carried on as if nothing had happened and everything still worked, it didn't freeze, but the desk went dead and came up with the "Mackie Digital 8-Bus. Loading Host. Please wait.." message as it does when you turn it on. This message stayed up for two or three minutes before changing to the classic "error 43" message, I presume because it couldn't connect to the host, given that the host was already running and hadn't rebooted itself like the desk. From this point, the monitor continued to function as normal, but the desk just acts as if it's off with this error message on it's display. All that can be done about it is to shut the whole system down and restart everything so it's together again, but every time I do this, the same thing happens again. It's ranged from literally 10 seconds after turning it on, to about 40 minutes of normal operation before the desk reboots itself and everywhere in between, but it has done it every single time.
I was wondering if anyone here had experienced this problem and if so, how do I go about fixing it, as I need to get it up and functioning reliably asap.
Cheers,
Ollie

Random reboots are 99% because of bad RAM.

Well;
Here is 2018, and d8b is not an Accord (sometimes it is a Gremlin HA!), but it has started to reboot on it'd own. Like Olli, sometime it takes a while, other times it is a minute or so.
My doesn't display "Error 43" it acts like it is a "Power On". I get the ram check etc, etc, etc. It comes up with "Start Up" file, but when I recall the session I was working on, all the plug-in are there????. I don't need to reload them! Interesting.
I will swap out the Ram and see if anything changes but if anyone else has some info that may be helpful, that would be great.
I am working with Anders to get the floppy Emulator working so I can reload the software as I am sure my floppies are defective, but am having difficulty getting that going (back to it's a Gremlin, not an Accord).
Cheers
Bruce

So... between new RAM and a little jiggle on the BFC, all is well in my world!
