Jumper Location

Hello, short and sweet, I'm a Newbie, and my D8b, for some reason, is not communicating with CPU, tried to install Ram, 256MB, and since then, I'm only getting the Black Screen. I read in the FAQS, from Mackie, that you could Clear the CMOS, by moving the jumpers over one position, does anyone have the old motherboard, or photos of the old motherboard, so I could see the location of the jumpers and move the jumper setting over one position, after which, i believe you are to let the CPU sit, for a couple hours.

Hi Blastin,

If I were you I'd try to remove the upgrade first. I don't see how a BIOS reset would be the first step in solving a problem that was not caused by it? Do the three LEDs on the keyboard flicker when you power on the D8B?

Anyway, if you still want to reset your CMOS, the jumper is near the battery on the front left of the motherboard (if you have the newer version), close to the HDD. It is also silkscreened on the board to help you. If you have the older motherboard, the jumper is located at the end of the two ISA bus connectors in the middle (close to the CPU), labeled 'JP1'. Good luck!
