Performer 6.0 to DP7 upgrade & MIDI issues

Does anyone run DP7 as a sequencer on a mac slaved to Mackie? Very few issues with Performer 6.0 on and old Mac except old and slow but fairly stable. DP7 has been very unstable with many issues. Note bursts, ghost notes playing before and after hitting stop. I have walked through all settings and HW checks with MOTU. No help. thanks

• Mackie digital 8 bus OS 5
• Mackie HDR24/96 OS 1.4
• MOTU Pockett Express (to slave between d8b & HDR while transmitting MMC/MTC)
• MOTU MIDI Express XT (1999 USB interface for 3 keys, vDrums, and HDR24/96 & iMAC) MOTU swears it should work
• iMAC running 10.5.8 with 4 gigs RAM (testing on Macbook Pro 10.5.8 as well-same results)
• DP7 7.22 (USB connection to Express XT)
• Addictive Drums (plugin for DP7 host)
• WaveLab7 (mastering sw)

2 computers. an iMAC Dual Intel with 10.5.8 and 4 gigs RAM and a Macbook Pro Dual Intel (same). Neither runs without these issues but the old Mac graphite and several others run Performer 6.0 on all the same gear. I simply change the USB to the old computer. It won't run the WL7, DP7 or AD Drums.

I've never gotten any version of wavelab to sync to the d8b, I think it may be a problem on their end.
I have no experience with the other softs so I cant help there.

Thanks Casey. I can't figure it out and neither can MOTU. I gave them a few months off after I decided to shelve it but I'm sure there are some here who have or are using DP7 with the HDR and d8b. Perf. 6.0 was fine but these symptoms are obvious as posted by others on MacosXaudio.com Same glitches and it makes it unusable. Hoping for some help but thanks.
