Can I put more than 32 mb of ram in my cpu for the 5.1 upgrade. And does it need to be 168 pin or 144 pin? I know it needs to pc100. I have the celeron 300 processor. thanks Brian

You can install up to 256 MB of RAM. More information is available in the database. You need the normal one (168), not the 'laptop' kind.

As well you can actually use PC133. Non-ECC --- here is another link to the Mackie site/

Joe gave you the link to the Database here @ d8b forum dot com...

http://www.mackie.com/support/documents/D8b_Memory_Upgrade.pdf

and here...

Hope this helps,
Michael

PS: Lot of online places sell this memory and it is not really expensive, I would order twice what you need and have it as a back up if it isn't too expensive and it would not hurt... some trouble has been attributed to bad RAM so it is good to have some in the "drawer" so to speak, just my humble opinion
