Transport numbers not rolling

Hi all,
I'm a long time d8b user and never really had any issues with it, for over 9 years. Yesterday I fired it up and the transport/locator numbers aren't rolling. The play button green light flashes. Everything else seems to be working fine. Any thoughts?

Thanks all.

Welcome to the forum.

You are having trouble with MIDI communication. Troubleshooting here.

First and obvious triple check your MIDI cables.

Possible battery dead in the CPU. Replace and re-entry the BIOS settings
Good luck.

I have the original BIOS and could not find the IRQ-10 setting. Anyone know which menu that is on, I didn't see it.
Thanks in advance.

It is in the PCI/PNP Configuration page.

You have to set the "Resource Controlled by:" parameter to Manual. It always default to Automatic.

Once you put the Resources Control in Manual you will see the IRQ10. It has to be set to Legacy ISA, as Phil pointed out correctly.

You guys ROCK! I changed the IRQ-10 setting and I'm back in business. Unfortunately I have to sell my studio soon, but I'm glad to know it's working well. I'll miss it. The d8b was so much fun to use, and always sounded great.
