Mate, you need a better language translation app. Many here to help but that's kinda difficult.

Peter,
I am guessing that he is trying to say that when he first turns on the power, the console lights up, then everything goes dead.
From his name, I gues that he is possibly from one of the Germanic type countries and it could possibly pay for him to briefly put his message into his native tongue to see if anyone here can translate it.

If you are referring to the big round connector, make sure that you have turned it that final bit so that it "clicks" or "locks" into place. If you have done that, then I would suggest cleaning the pins or at least spraying some Deoxit on them. Otherwise, because the receptacle for that connector is on a PCB inside the desk, if proper restraint hasn't been applied, one or more of the solder joints may be intermittent and you will need to re-solder them to make them secure.
