problem with digital trim on all channels

Gents,
after months away...work, sound engineering classes, etc..i am back with a different D8B problem. The board is working fine until today. I now have static hiss in each channel when I turn up the channel's digital trim. The more I increase the digital trim, the louder the hiss. With the digital trim all the way off, the hiss goes away. The hiss starts as soon as I start increasing the digital trim.
I just cleaned all of the ribbon cables and contacts on the inside, cleaned all the contacts on the back of the board. Cleaned the analogue trim with a good pot cleaner, etc.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Is this the case for every session file? Did you try recalling more than one session? Do you have the console load a factory start up file on boot up or is it set to load last session? This one seems really odd to me, though being a d8b we should be used to the odd and weird issues by now.

I'm just gonna mention it anyway, since it hasn't been. Are the "channel filters" turned off? Digital trim is just gain in the 0 & 1 department so it will amplify the garbage the filters are capable of.
