Headphone Panning

Postby Phil.c » Thu Jan 03, 2013 11:04 am

I can't remember this happening before, but I could be wrong

When I fully pan left or right on headphones, I get about 3% of sound on the un-panned side, this happens with both headphone out's, has anyone else noticed this, if not, what's the cure?

Never had this issue, but try holding SHIFT while panning. Should at least recalibrate the V-POTS for the pan controls. Are you using any headphone amps between the console and the cans? Could be analog bleed within the headphone amp within the console, even, depending on how loud you are feeding levels into the phones mix. Check the cables/adaptors, the cans? Definitely sounds fishy.

Holding Shift did'nt work, headphones straight into outputs, both outs the same, and it's the same with different headphones :!:

Phil, does it happen on all sessions? What I'm getting at is that your Startup session may need to be flushed and a new one created (which is automatic on a reboot). Either that or a re-install of the OS may be necessary. Just as a matter of interest, are you getting full panning out the Master L/R?

Peter
In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.

Peter,
I've checked it on other sessions and it's the same, I did think about a re-install of th OS.

I have full panning with the Master out's but i'll have another check tomorrow to see if it's the same as the headphone problem.
