one second i have no clue what a d8b is, next second i own one....hmmm. just picked one up off ebay. Not a bad price $700 with free shipping, for the board, power unit and pcu, all MINT. all manuals and cables including the xlr breakout cables. only thing is that its throwing a "System Error 43- Host did not boot" message. which from what i read is usually pretty to fix, starting with cleaning and reseating ribbon cables to maybe even re-flashing the pcu. Eventually she is gonna get d8bridge, so that everything is ITB but for now its just kinda something for me to tinker with. So now i wait for it to arrive. If anyone has some super beginner stuff, like maybe things i should do to it as soon as i get it... let me know

Thanks
-Devin

Welcome Devin. Before you start tearing ribbon cables out, replace the motherboard battery in the cpu, then reset your bios settings per the database procedure. This is usually the culprit of the error 43 message. The battery you need is a cr2032 found at your local drug store or grocery... at least in these parts.

Crash's advice is spot on. To make life a little easier for you, go here:

...for relevant info on BIOS settings. All the material you'll need is there, including PDFs of the BIO setting charts.

Good luck.
