Anyone using Toast 11 or Toast 11 Pro? Thoughts? Is Pro worth it? It's just that there's a deal on at the moment.

Peter:

If you own some version of Toast as far back as 8 or so and all you use it for is making Audio CDs or the occasional data backup or a video DVD copy or a disk image, there is no compelling reason to upgrade to 11 whatsoever. Works the same.

What sets this version apart from its predecessors is a restyling of the GUI...and that's pretty much it.

Thanks Frank. I was just interested because of the Dual layer DVD facility and BluRay burning. I have 9 at the moment.

I'm don't think Dual Layer is new to T11. That feature was in T10. Ithin what they've done with BluRay is section it off from the main app and an additional $29 is required for the "BluRay Plug-in".

Since T10 they pretty much rearranged the furniture for the sake of generating a revenue cycle. It's Roxio. What do you expect.
