Ever seen this? Having booted up 5.1, the rightmost character in the top line of the VFD which is normally a right arrow is an alternating asterisk / question mark. In the last 2 days I've seen it a few times. Rebooting, sometimes more than once, seems to resolve the problem. Thanks for any info.

That is telling you the console is not seeing a clock signal. How are you clocking your rig? I fire up my console before anything else and once it is full booted, I fire up all the other stuff, including my external house wordclock.

Thanks, Crash. Yes, I do the same, boot the d8b first fully, then the DAW. It's never been a problem, but yesterday it was. Stuff I have on the clock circuit: d8b, HDR24/96, RME ADI-8QS A/D/A, RME HDSP9652 I/O. A d8b DIO-8 is clocked internally in the d8b. Everything's set to read the d8b's Apogee clock signal. First time I've seen this...

Interesting. I figured you were gonna reply that you had an external clock in the chain. It might be worth a reseat of the clock card.

If this shows up again that's what I'll do. Thanks.
