Dear All,
A new d8b just arrived as an extension to my current d8b. Its version is v2.0. I tried to install Version 3.0 but to no avail. The floppy drive seems to boot on the first Disk but after a will version 2.0 will boot up. I cannot install version 3.0.
Can you please help?
Regards
Carlo

I would go into the bios and make for certain that the floppy is the first boot device.

The RAM was 16megs. I have upgraded to 24megs and the upgrade to V3.0 was successful. Since this d8b came with an old CPU 166mhz motherboard (EDO ram), what is its max capacity of RAM?
Regarding performance, is there a difference between the new and old motherboard?
Regards
Carlo

IT seems that i can use the SD Ram on the Old mother board as well. Can the DIMM be combined with the SIMM?

Hi,
I managed to upgrade the memory to 128MB dimm. I purchased the OS5.1 license and the d8b cannot authorize.
I've changed the hard disk and installed the OS before authorizing. Could this be the problem?
Can you please help?

There's another thread regarding OS 5.1 authorisation. Mackie's generating system is kaput. Check out the other thread.
