replacement motherboard

I have an HDR with a 433 Processor. The motherboard died and the only replacement i can find is a 300MHz board. Does it matter?

Hi,
I've had both motherboards and never noticed any difference in performance.

Have a blessed day in Christ,

I have actually wondered a lot about this subject. The Mackie site says "300 mhz board" which i assume to mean the CPU clock speed. The one I'm working with has the 433 celeron which made me question that theory but now I see that there are two! It also makes me wonder, does it actually have to be one of those? Will newer boards with faster CPUs work? Not for the purpose of speed ofcourse, but just for the purpose of not running an ancient motherboard with a finite lifespan.

Anyone ever tried another board? Or does MackieOS only have the chipset/other hardware drivers for these particular boards...?
