Hi folks

This may sound dumb!! What is the diffrence between the apogee mackie DIO 8 card board
That adds 8 channels of adat or TDIF. And the cheap adat cards. Can you use the adat optical cable on the mackie
Apogee DIO-8 on say a MDR instead of buying new Adar cards. What I'm asking is I have three apogee mackie
DIO cards that adds adat or TDIF can I use the Adat optical on these cards and on my MDR and my D8B
