HDR Booting up

My HDR keeps going through booting cycle and never boots up

If memory serves here, load the disk on a reader, save whatever work you can - remount a new drive and reload the OS... preferably on a new CF card (32GB max) and not another mechanical (standard IDE) hard disk... you'll be doing the 'rinse/repeat' dance periodically until you do...

Early on with these units, I believe this very circumstance was the actual impetus for me personally moving to solid state drive tech (32GB CF boot chain, SSD externals)... not a single issue related to either since...

Of course, "your actual mileage may vary..."
