Apogee DIO.8 CArds

Postby mnewman49 » Mon Jun 01, 2015 11:06 pm

I have a Sony DMX -R100 console and a Mackie HDR 24/96 Digital Recorder. All of the music was recorded with adat format in my former D8B mixer. I couldn't locate but 1 Adat card for the Sony DMX. So I have 1 adat card in slot 1 an aes/ebu and in slot 2 and 2 TDIF cards slots 3&4. The only card that works is the Adat card in slot 1. *The HDR has 3 Apogee DIO.8 with V2.1 chips. There is no input or output on any of the tdif CARDS. Can someone please tell me how get input and output?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike Newman

Hey Mike;

You can not mix card that way. The cards in you mixer must match the cards in you HDR.

As an example;
Sony Slot 1, ADAT, HDR Slot 1 ADAT
Sony Slot 2, AES/EBU, HDR Slot 2 AES/EBU
Sony Slot 3, TDIF, HDR Slot 3 TDIF.

Now having said that, where the Sync Reference comes from should only matter to the ADAT & TDIF cards. If you have the d8b as the master the HDR as the slave you SHOULD be OK.

Not sure what else to suggest.

Perhaps others will weigh in here and offer their insight.

Post back

Cheers
