Disappearing waveforms

Hi All,
Has anyone ever had their waveforms just disappear, only on one track? I had just finished bouncing a lead vocal through an outboard compressor, then I deleted all the little coughs and gasps as they tend to get louder after compression. Then every waveform on each section of that track just disappeared. No audio, just a blue box where each of the cut up track sections were. And just so you won't have to ask, View waveforms is checked on the little drop down menu. Ideas?

Strange? Did you try an undo or uncheck and recheck the view waveform box?

Yes, I tried unchecking and rechecking the veiw waveforms box, but to no avail. I've never had this happen before.

amlost forgot, I did undo all the way back to recording the track, nothing but empty blue boxes.

Maybe just a computor thingy, has it happened since?
