MDR-HDR upgrade questions.....

I've been trying to help a friend out by upgrading his MDR to an HDR and everything is in order but we have not found a compatible video card to go in it. 32 Meg, PCI, Radeon 7000. google searching has not turned up any reliable sources to work from. So I was hoping that for those that might have done this upgrade if they coud point me in the direction of the correct card. The one we bought wouldnt let the unit boot. Not even into BIOS. And I know it can cause I put in just a generic video card and I could get to the BIOS but no further.
Anywho, If someone can lend some advice on the subject that would be awesome!
