Hey there,
D8Bridge doesn`t recognise my new Cubase Version.
Stating: Console ready, waiting for DAW.
Due to the complete new mixer this is an awesome opportunity to customize TheBridge to the new FeatureSet.
When can we expect a customization?
Thanx,
Stan

Hey Stan,
I havn't had the chance to check out the new Cubase 7 as I'm a Nuendo user and the new Nuendo 6 ain't out yet. I might get an NFR version as I got contacts at Steinberg/Yamaha Canada. I'll let you know as soon as I get my hands on it!
Can't wait!

Hmmm. So , when I get my Cubase 7 software this week and try to put my studio together using the D8b as a controller , what's going to happen ? ( aside from partial insanity due to frustration of course )

I guess you need to set up the MCU units in Cubase for the D8Bridge to recognize the DAW.
Make sure your MIDI ports are set exactly as in the

Thank you for any and ALL advice. I'm looking forward to using my old D8b again. I learned to mix on the old girl , and I can't help but feel a bond to her. My only wish would be to have it behave as a controller as much like the original mixer as possible , only into a modern DAW.

Looks like I'll be using Loopmidi , cause I'm doing 64 bit. The setup doesn't look like much fun. I've got the cable and adapter. I bought it from Marc the instant is was available. He's got a newer version , since then.

@Klangarchitekten
Have you had any success with Cubase 7 integration with D8Bridge? I was going to purchase a Cubase 7 license in hopes of getting a tighter DAW/D8Bridge integration than I'm experiencing with Sonar X2 at the moment, but I don't want to spend the cash if the integration isn't superior.

I haven't done a lot of testing yet, but I successfully have it linked with Cubase 7 64 bit. The faders work, channels light up, etc. I'll do some more testing in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look forward to hearing more as you progress with your integration testing.

@livefromheaven
How did you hook it up?
I`ve been using C5 with MidiYoke which doesn`t seem to work with C7 (64 Bit).
Haven`t been able to get it running with C7 (64 Bit).
@Marc:
Can you implement "Control Room" support for C7 with the Control Room Buttons of the D8B?
Do they send Midi-Data?
