Presuming you mean the Apogee clock card? No you don't need it unless you are trying to sync d8b digital audio I/O with other devices such as hard disc recorders, A/D converters, etc. For the purposes of the D8Bridge control surface only, the stock d8b clock card is fine since at the moment there is no digital I/O guaranteed through the d8b concurrent with its use as the D8Bridge control surface.
