Just to clarify, there's no reason why you can't use power from the d8b PSU/CPU to power the console, right?
Does the ProBox have its own power supply? ProBox doesn't rely on a power supply that is a common source of power for both itself and the control surface functions, correct? So the control surface just needs the voltages it would normally get from the stock d8b PSU/CPU?
I've modified my d8b PSU/CPU to be completely fanless (
http://www.d8bforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1175) yet still provide the required voltages to the d8b control surface. Any reason why I couldn't continue to use this power source with ProBox, understanding that the d8b's DB25 data connection would now communicate with the ProBox instead of the d8b CPU?
Thanks!
