I'm so excited that this is actually happening for HUI.

So basically hui is implemented. Display has still an issue that
I have to fix, but i would say 80% is working.
So All friends of protools. You do not have to wait that long anymore.

Hey Monk--1st of all--thanks for ALL of your hard work!! Now, just so I'll have things in place--the HUI box will incorporate the first probox' s functions w/other DAWs correct? So, I can use it w/protools, logic & cubase, etc? Ship date & price? Sorry to sound totally ready, but this was what I've been waiting on!! Thanks!!

just started testing Probox with HUI and Protools 11 (30days Demo Version)
24 Channels work
Buttons work
MTC works
Motor Fader works
Fader Movement (touch and release command wrong, will be fixed easily)
2x40 Display has an issue but be solved shortly (issue found)

when the Display works I've to check if you Need to Switch between the 3 HUI Displays and the 4 Vpots, or if it can be fixed to one HUI layer.

so the day for HUI is not far away anymore !!!

Ok Protool guys

the implementation is done, testing Phase starts !!!

everything is working at the Moment. Some strange effects seen but at the Moment I think these are
protools Features. maybe someknows that already:
- Jog Wheel (only scrub and shuttle is possible, NO "Navigation" over the timeline as I know from cubase)
- Assigning Inserts: not all 4 Vpots for insert 1-4 can be used at once. there has to be pressed the proper select (1-4) button before ?
- shift button and a second button that I cannot remember at the Moment Switches vpot leds dark when pressed. Lighten up when button is released. I guess These two Buttons have to be sent on all 3 HUI ports to get reaction for all 24 channels.

I think there is some problems with the inserts and plugins when you originally use the hui layer in protools.
Maybe you can fix this problem in your implementation?

Give it a try please.... You will make the d8b one of the best consoles out there with your work...

I observed something like that during testing. This was the flow:

- pressing Insert on a channel
- pressing assign
- now plugins and some stuff should be selectable on Insert 1-5 (1-4 first page, with scroll I can go to Insert 5 on second page)
but with the vpot I can only change the first insert that I turn (e.g. when I turn Vpot 3 the Insert 3 changes but when I afterwards turn Insert 1 nothing happens. I have to press the Assign button again before to Access insert 1)

very strange. It doesn't make sense to have 4 Vpots and 4 select buttens when the are not used in a comfortable way

When I turn my two d8b's in hui mode and use protools 9 I'll never had any luck with the inserts and plugins.
I just can't figure out how it works.
Maybe you can get it right.... If so please tell me how it works
Sometimes it also freeze ,and you have to restart your session.
Now when you implement the hui protocol is there a chance to re-program how the inserts and plugs will work just for protools. A protools boot up version?

How about make protools work with an Ethernet connection, as the c 24 original controller.
Add the Ethernet connector to your probox.
