Set of replacement fader caps please?

Postby Creative69 » Tue Dec 23, 2014 8:30 pm

As fate would have it I have managed to re acquire the d8b I regretfully sold last year! I'm surprised that the it appears to have held up well overall apart from the unfortunate exposure to nicotine. I would like to get hold of a new set if anyone has or can direct me to a source I would be extremely grateful. I require a full set.

Thanks

It's most likely you will have to contact Alps, the manufacturer of the faders. It's possible Mackie may have some since they are the same as the ones used on their MCUs. They may only have silver but they look pretty cool.

They look right but it's the slot underneath I can't see. I'd put money on the fact that they are the ones. Hope they are.

Cheers,

It turns out these are wrong! I read somewhere on this forum that the d8b used Alps faders! Turns out they're not and are penny and Giles. These are the correct ones. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1454376348

The knobs may fit but the faders are definitely Alps. I have 8 spare ones. Dunno who told you that.

These are the official mackie service for Europe http://www.mackie.view-media.be/order/i ... 31&lang=en

Since the faders on hui, mackie control etc are P&G it makes sense, they also stock these for the d8b. The alps ones I ordered were too tight these P&G are perfect. Are you sure your faders are original?

Without a shadow of a doubt. Anyway, glad you're set.
