Thank you,

Let me see about getting a code, and then go from there. How much would you like for your efforts and parts? and of course shipping.

Regards,

Ken

Hi Maxcs

i responded to your PM, but for some reason all my messages seem to stick in the out box, but never appear to be sent, so I am not sure if you received it as of yet.

Thanks,

Ken

The messages will stay in the outbox until the intended recipient actually reads the message... the status will then be updated. It's how private messaging works in phpBB (the forum software)...

Good Morning,

I have a D8B that I just purchased and would love to be able to use 5.1 with it. Problem I have is of course we are unable to get new numbers from Mackie. I know there is no reason that anyone would want to share theirs, but I would greatly appreciate anyone's help if they were so inclined.

Thank you,

Ken

Wouldn't do you any good anyway, Ken. Each authorisation code is unique to each machine and is related to the Electronic Serial Number (ESN)

Thanks Peter, I actually spoke with someone who would be willing to help me get a chip that would allow me to update my D8B to support it.

So, that is why I am still hoping.

Thanks,

Ken

Hi everyone... long time no talk -- I have, from time to time, checked in to read (lurk) and I love all of you and I love my d8b though it has not seen any use since I moved. It is such a great unit. I was surprised to keep reading how Mackie dropped the ball on this. I am mainly doing little demos and do not have use of the mixer so it sits (sadly).

So... what the heck is going on that people can not unlock the mixer? I am confused. Would someone please give a summary? 12 HEX symbols are in the way from v3 to v5.1? this doesn't seem right - having used both v3 and v5.1, v5.1 is the shizzle homie 8-)
