I'm not sure what CF's work or not. I used a Patriot 32GB SSD and had no issue.

I know that does answer your Q, but let's you know what does work.

Thanks Bruce. Which model was it? Did you use a SATA to IDE convertor or was it an IDE drive?

Hi J-One;

The 32GB SSD is Patriot, Torqx 2, 2.5" SSD, SATA I/II, 3Gbps. I got ot from Amazon. The other part number listed on the box is PE00088 - PT23GS25SSDR.

I used a "Housing Bridge Adaptor for SATA II Device to IDE Motherboard". This was purchased from Amazon but I have been unable to locate any more of these so if you find some please let me know. What is important is that it is either SATA I or SATA II and not SATA III. That it is capable of 2Gbps and that you can select between "Cable, Slave and Master". This is usually a jumper of the adaptor. I have some that do not have the jumper but state they are "auto-select". I am going to try these when I find some time to do a full test.

I have been in communication with "Crash over this, so check the thread call "SSD Conversion" or something like that in the HDR/MDR/SDR forum.

Cheers.

Thanks Bruce,

Extremely helpful. If my next couple of CF cards don't work, I may well go that route.
