Oh, I remember the course digital Signal computing on the University :-)

do you still Need Information about the d8b console protocol, not the dsp part?
I will not roll out my sourcode, but I can generate a Excel list with all commands on the d8b console site if you Need
best regards

You mean the serial commands?

Ie keys / LED / encoder / fader / display etc etc?

I've listed them all, I have taken from ASM firmware.

I would love to replace the old d8b computer with new hardware. It would be great to have a d8b OS on new hardware that allowed 3rd party plugins. I use the d8b for recording and mixing.

Hi just checking in to see if this idea was progressing. I sell equipment to the power utility market and there is a substation computer (SEL-3355) designed for extreme temperature conditions with no moving parts (fans, hard drives, etc). This computer is silent and would be a great fit for the new OS.

I hope not to do something unpleasant, place the link of the facebook group I have created, for the collection of people who have an interest in a new software for D8B.

More people sign up, the more likely that I create a new release.

Signed !!

Thank you very much for giving a "second live" to D8B mixers !!

Keep'on Rocking !!
For those about to rock (we salute you).

Hey Audioman,
I can't find the link to a facebook collection site. I humbly request that you take names of interested people here, on this forum. This is where the customers are. I, for one would be willing to pay several hundred dollars to be rid of the OEM motherboard & be able to update drivers, use any video cards I want, and have improvements in eq ,compressors & gates and be able to route them for any input or output. Maybe even be able to use 3rd party plugins. Please give us an up-date. I am sure that we can make this profitable for you.

Have a blessed day in Christ,
Mike W.
