Well just checked all three fuses and there is power in all three so the fuses are not bad. On the monitor its showing bank one. If the sizzle went back down to the CPU lol is like it would not show anything on the monitor I could be wrong just thinking out loud Also could it be possible that the big frighten cable touch the round socket that it go s into could it just killed the hole power supply that goes to the big cable again just thinking out loud. If any one can think of anything that you might try is more than welcome.i know it's not easy trying to help me but it's all I got

Thanks joe allen

I do understand about running out of ideals I just hope someone may have had done the same mistake and was able to bring it back to life. The way my luck is though I want be that lucky. And thanks for your input and help and if anyone can think of anything please let me know. This is a great forum weather I get my d8b fixed or not thanks again

Me too..Eric Russ is your best bet, if he can't sort it then you need to make new decisions.

Ha Bruce and Phil

Your both right so i talked to Eric Russ and he told me that ether one of you could donate your d8b to me he said Phil has two in that big console so he would not miss his. LOL. I really did talk with him and I might try to get something from him to work. He did tell me he had a good cpu I just hate to buy that and then still have trouble with the board as I don't know if that sizzle sound hit the board or the CPU or both. Anyway thanks for everyone help and input

Hi Joe;

Had another thought!

You took your console or CPU, I don't remember which, to someone. Didn't you?

Maybe, if he is willing, take both, connect separately to his and that will help narrow things down. Just another thought? You still will need someone to fix it but at least you will know which! Hopefully not both.

Good luck.

the first line of "sizzle" or "fried" sound you get from shorting out the pwr connector will come from this:
