Thanks Peter;

I will contact the mothership and see if they will give me the code to unlock it. I can not get the one in the hack list to work!

Cheers

Raggirays: Read this thread. That should solve the 5.1 issue.

mmm, I read all the thread (nice!) and I used the "hack1" with my D8B, I replaced the "control.asc" file and used the License numbers in Hack1 folder but OS keep asking auth code, I guess that the mainboard battery gone wrong couldn't keep settings.
Extreme ways... I could downgrade to OS 3.0, with USB floppy emulator is very easy

Or....you could change the battery. It is really simple to do.

After doing that, you'll need to reset the BIOS. If you have an old MB:

If you have a new one:

Monkeys can do this (explaining how I managed).

Munk's crack should work, as quite a number of folks have had success with it on this forum.

You're right FrankH but when I cleaned and rebuild the PC-BOX I found the battery holder completely rusted and damaged since years. I replaced the battery onlu, no luck. I carefully desoldered the battery holder and replaced with another one (from another PC board...) and no luck again.
I guess some contact missing (or false contact) inside MB (it's a "new" one DFI-xxx... with Celeron CPU)
