Is d8bridge still available?

Postby Mhoughton » Wed Jan 18, 2017 4:18 pm

Hi. Is d8bridge still available (either v1.x or v2)? The idea appeals enormously, but the Blu Audio site seems to have been down for ever!

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt.

I do not think that d8bridge is for sale anymore.

Try the "stuff for sale" section in this forum, or also visit the "Pro Box" section of this Forum. Pro Box may be what you need.

Cheers

Any chance of making it open source if its no longer available so we can keep it going. I love my 2 D8B consoles that I have synced together. Faders are getting a little lazy but pulling them out and giving them a good clean is no problem at all.

I have done the SD card mod on both consoles and will be doing a power supply upgrade very soon to a newer model power supply from a pc that I will be making a new connector for so if I ever need to change the power supply again I will only have to plug a new one directly in.

Hey Hus;

I am not 100% sure but I believe there will be no further communications with either d8bridge or Mackie regarding anything, including Source Code.

The best you will get from your d8b is he Crack that Munkustrap has so graciously given to all of us.

The d8bridge is a dead product I believe. If you have that then like your d8b, that is it. Pro box is what has relpaced d8bridge.

All in all, not great news but at least there is this forum to keeps in the loop and operating.

Cheers

There's a separate ProBox forum on d8bforum.com. On there is a thread called "Purchasing ProBox"... and in this thread, "munkustrap", the person who hand-builds the ProBoxes, posted the following link at some point, asking to get in contact with him that way, if interested in purchasing a ProBox:

...or see for yourself on the ProBox forum:
