Mackie d8b v3.1 "Glitching/Random Flickering Movements"

I have purchased a Mackie d8b from someone on Ebay. I Have seen this thing in action years ago and Have always been fascinated about it. Sad to say, Something do not seem right about the Unit. All Lights, Meters and Faders Works and the CPU Boots v3 Correctly however There is Glitching/random flickering movements on the CPU's Faders and the Motorized faders, if I Push a few of them up, they force back down. I am wondering if Upgrading to v5.1 would help but I do not have access to the Floppy Disks. Please Help!!!
