Ok

Nothing abut the speed of light.... But if you bend the cables or if the connector is not clean or if it's not 100 procent connected you'll get a so called thing named "jitter" and that's what I think it is... And too "not expensive cable " will cause this problem.
I've been there.

So...,, this have nothing about speed to do.
But please learn how it works in the digital world before you find it strange.... Pace

Remember to use one interface per d8b and use a coaxial sync cable between each d8b and interface and one as master.

Just Checking :)

I'm flabbergasted.

Set the motu card in your motu software to internal and both d8b's in this case to external. Take sync signal from motu 1 to d8b1 and motu 2 to d8b 2.
Two separate sync cables 75 ohm

This works perfect in my case

Hey Boss,

Have you ever had glitches with this system you proposed?

What do you think about the Mutec MC-3+ Smart Clock?

Seems to have excellent specs and feature set.

Considering it is priced well below the competition:

Apogee Big Ben $1495
Antelope OCX $1295
Mutec MC-3+ $759 (seen at least one listed for $699 on eBay)

It's a good deal. Personally, using a master clock in your setup is the ideal way to go....as long as both D8Bs are equipped with Apogee Clock cards.

Another, less expensive alternative is hunting down a Lucid GenX 192 on eBay...along with any of the others listed above. There are deals to be had.

what about the Lucid GENx6-96? Do you know anything about this clock generator?
